Multi-Sensory Sight Word Fun and a Giveaway

I've been a bad blogger!  My classroom has gotten super busy with the addition of student number 10 just over a week ago.  I was busy prepping and preparing for her arrival.  She's here now and we're settling in, so I finally have a little time to blog (yay!).

Have I ever told you that I am the ONLY SDC class in my district?  Well I was up until this year.  We hired an upper grade SDC teacher for the students that finally aged out of my program this year.  It was difficult.  I was literally out on an island all by myself.  Finding special education bloggers like myself has really helped me with that collaboration piece that was missing being the only SDC teacher.

One of my favorite things about collaborating with bloggers and other Special Education teachers is being able to share resources (thanks TPT).  Why reinvent the wheel?  I have been able to share with Brianna from Extra Special Giggles.  She recently sent me this awesome play dough sight word building pack and my students and I LOVED it.  I am working with so many students on learning to read and write sight words, but we have such differing abilities.  Having a multi-sensory approach to teaching writing is really helpful for my students that do not know how to form letters.  Not only did I love these play dough pages, they were a HUGE hit with my students!  I wish you could see the pride on their faces in these pictures, but trust me, it's there.  Check out these awesome words my students built with her play dough kit and keep scrolling to enter to win your own!

Now it's your chance to win a pre-primer set of play dough mats for your classroom!  Enter in the rafflecopter below.
